Dogs and Cats
Yearly registration and proof of rabies vaccination is required for all animals older than 6 months of age. There is a limit of up to 3 dogs and up to 3 cats six months of age or older per household.
The registration year shall be from May 1st through April 30th.The annual fee for each animal is $10. If neutered or spayed the fee is $4. A $5 penalty will be applied effective June 1st.
Chickens & Domesticated Ducks
Yearly registration is required for any domesticated foul within city limits. There is a limit of 12 domesticated foul per residence. They must have a shelter that is maintained properly and it requires an inspection by the Police Department. Roosters are strictly prohibited. You must obtain signatures from residents within 200 feet of your shelter with a majority of the heads of household consenting to the shelter.
The annual fee for domesticated foul is $50. The registration year shall be from May 1st through April 30th.
