1. How do I get a message on the marquee outside of City Hall or on public television Channel 7?

2. Is there a charge for putting a message on Channel 7?

There is no charge. However, we do edit messages to fit the screen.

3. Who is eligible to put a message on the City Hall marquee or on Channel 7?

Eligible groups include religious organizations, educational organizations, other not-for-profit organizations or temporary community fund raising groups.

4. How do I contact the Animal Control Officer?

Call the Halstead Police Department at 316-835-2266 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. In an emergency outside if these hours, call 911.

5. How do I report a gas leak?

Call City Hall at 316-835-2286 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. After hours, call 911.

6. How do I contact the Recreation Director?

Call Grant Williams at 316-835-2517. If he is not in the office, leave a message on his answering machine. You may also call City Hall at 316-835-2286 and we will transfer you to his voicemail.

7. Where do I get information regarding utility setups?

Call City Hall at 316-835-2286 or come by the City Clerk's Office at 303 Main Street.

8. Where do I get information on cemetery spaces and how much do they cost?

For residents and property owners within the city, spaces are $300 each. For all others, spaces are $600 each.
